When do I get my card?
Same Day! All American Heart Association cards are now digital. You will receive your digital card by midnight on the day you take your class or skills check.
Are you an American Heart Association training site?
Yes! CPR Tampa is an American Heart Association training site. All of our instructors are AHA certified, and you will receive an official AHA 2 year card after class.
Are all of your instructors certified by the AHA, and what type of training do they go through?
Yes, all of our instructors are American Heart Association certified. Our instructors meet all requirements in order to teach AHA classes. Not only do they go through the rigorous training the AHA requires, but they are then further trained by CPR Tampa regarding classroom policy, customer service, and how to provide a stress-free and relaxed classroom environment for all students.
How long do the classes typically last?
Class times can vary depending on the number of students. Here is an estimate of the average length of each class type: BLS Class- 3.5-4 hours ACLS Renew- 6-8 hours BLS/ACLS Renew- 6-8 hours PALS Renew- 5-6 hours Heartsaver CPR AED- 2.5 hours Heartsaver CPR First Aid Combo- 5-6 hours First Time ACLS- 8-10 hours First Time PALS- 10-12 hours
Is the course manual required?
Yes. The American Heart Association requires that every student has access to a manual before, during and after class. If you didn’t order a book with us, make sure you bring one to class. If you arrive to class without the required manual, you will need to purchase one before class begins in order to participate in the class. Your instructor can assist you with this on the day of class. Please note 1st Time ACLS and 1st Time PALS classes include the manual.
What is the background of your instructors?
Most of our instructors are Registered Nurses, Paramedics, EMT’s or Fire Fighters. They all have medical/emergency backgrounds.
Do you offer private group training?
Yes. We will come to you! Our certified AHA instructors will bring everything to your group or office. Call us for pricing and details.
